Superman/Batman #36: Brainiac, in his nanoswarm form, creates a body that beats Batman to near death (Batman at this time had Powered Armor that made him as strong as Superman) and then proceeds to throttle the hell out of Superman (with the latter commenting with surprise that his grip is as hard as Doomsday's). Superman gets out of it when he Superman just wins due to having far higher physical stats. In a similar way to how Omni-Man would crush Homelander with ease. Clark just scales higher in terms of strength, durability and speed. Which are really the only attributes Nolan has. And then to make matters worse Kal-El has far more powers. Whether Martian Manhunter is stronger than Superman is one of the many never-ending debates amongst comic book fans. Another is if the green Martian can defeat the Kryptonian. Based on brute strength alone, Martian Manhunter is capable of fending off the Man of Steel in a fight, but where he excels at is telepathy. Some women are stronger than most men. This isn’t emasculating or anything. It’s just something that can happen. I agree that the way it was written in Supergirl was bad but the problem was how they addressed it not the concept itself. Clark is incredibly strong and powerful.
